Senior Data Scientist - WFH

NewAge Products is looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized team player who can develop and implement data models and algorithms to enhance decision-making processes based on pre-defined guidelines. Reporting to VP Finance, the Sr. Data Scientist is responsible for managing and optimizing a suite of data trackers to support ongoing business initiatives led by accounting and finance department. In addition, this role requires agility and flexibility to react quickly as direction or requirements change and to ensure continuity and thoroughness in activities in the event of a shift in direction.  

• Create and maintain Data Reporting suites and dashboards using Python and SQL
• Design and create interactive dashboards and reports via visualization tools to provide actionable insights
• Develop and maintain automated data pipeline to facilitate efficient data extraction and processing.
• Build
  algorithms and design experiments to merge, manage, interrogate and
  extract data to supply tailored reports as per business needs
• Use machine learning tools, statistical techniques and predictive modeling to produce required solutions to problems
• Develop models to drive efficiency optimizations and support business strategies. 
• Support the finance department in forecasting and budgeting process by providing data-driven insights and projections. 
• Develop sustainable processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
• Work
  closely with cross-functional business teams to identify opportunities
  for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
• Maintain thorough documentation and reporting to provide transparency and accountability in all data-related activities
• Contribute
  to the establishment and enforcement of data governance policies and
  procedures to ensure data quality and consistency across the
  organization
• Coach and develop a team 
• Build a team culture of customer service excellence for both internal and external customers
• Other related duties as assigned 

• Advanced / Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related area of study
• Minimum 8 years of extensive experience as a Data Scientist / Engineering Analyst / Software developer
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a team of individuals
• Proficiency in R or Python, in-depth understanding of SQL
• Proficiency
  in the development, validation, and implementation of: relational data
  models; machine-learning algorithms and models; understanding of
  real-world advantages and limitations of each
• Experience with big data: extraction, processing, filtering, and presenting large data quantities
• Capable of building sustainable, scalable, and strategic solutions data-pipelines with strong problem-solving skills
• Expert in Business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and solutions at a level appropriate for technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
• Must
  be proactive and results oriented with strong organization,
  communication and influencing skills, a self-starter who takes
  initiative, seeks opportunities for improvement, and creatively and
  constructively challenges the status quo
• Experience with cloud-based tools for data processing (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Knowledge
  of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties
  of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and
  experience with applications
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and demands in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment
